Recently, a friend of mine attended a course on entrepreneurship for bumiputra. During the course, she was informed by the trainer that a local toothpaste brand "Mukmin" is actually a product of a local non-muslim chinese manufacturer. I was suprised by her statement since it has never come to my mind that the non-muslim/chinese can go to such a level of branding to catch the muslim market, especially when the sentiment among malays nowdays is to buy halal muslim product. I don't say that they are commiting any crime, but I think many malays might buy the toothpaste thinking that the product is a malay product and they are are helping their fellow malay/muslim by that.
Anybody can verify this. thanks
